IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: The End of Sexy Fantastic culture magazine, the Beginning of Sexy Fantastic Comics

After Issue 5, Sexy Fantastic will cease publication as an Art, Literature and Culture magazine and begin publishing comic books. There are two reasons for this:

1. Although the magazine, in its present form, has enjoyed a limited amount of popularity and financial success, the financial support for the magazine is not sufficient to continue on with another issue at this time. The magazine of Art, Literature and Culture may release another issue someday, but for now, it is at least on hiatus.

2. Originally, Sexy Fantastic magazine was intended to include comic book stories, and maybe even to have been primarily an illustrated magazine—perhaps like a kinder, gentler, and sexier version of Heavy Metal magazine. In our current culture, especially in science fiction and fantasy, comics are a more popular form than culture magazines. But funds were too limited to pay for comic stories.

And so, although this is a kind of ending, it is also a beginning … ANNOUNCING:

SEXY FANTASTIC COMICS!

Sexy Fantastic will now begin publishing a line of comic books, starting with Space Happy: The Adventures of Jumper Jones and Bob 47! You can expect the same quality as you experienced with the magazine, but perhaps a bit sexier, with a little more freedom and fun!

The first issue of Space Happy is scheduled for release in the Spring of 2022, and some teaser art will soon be available for you to see. We’ll be running a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the launch. And we will be announcing other new titles to begin later in 2022 or 2023. Gee, it’s really starting to sound like the future!

I’m grateful that you’ve been with us on this journey. I hope you’ll stay with us as part of the Sexy Fantastic community as we embark on this exciting new adventure!

Sincerely,

Robert Zoltan
